Bước 1. Kích hoạt IMAP trong mục cài đặt email của bạn.

1. Đăng nhập vào tài khoản email.
2. Click vào "Cài đặt" trên đầu trang.
3. Click "Chuyển tiếp và POP/IMAP".
Chọn:
4. "Bật chức năng tải POP cho tất cả thư" hoặc "Bật POP cho thư đến từ bây giờ trở đi" nếu bạn muốn dùng POP. Ngược lại, nếu dùng IMAP thì "Bật chức năng tải IMAP cho tất cả thư" hoặc "Bật IMAP cho thư đến từ bây giờ trở đi". Ở đây, bạn dùng IMAP!
5. Lưu thay đổi.

Bước 2. Cấu hình email trong Outlook Express

Mở Outlook Express.
Click vào Tools menu, và chọn Accounts...
Click Add, và rồi click Mail...
Nhập tên của bạn trong 'Display name' field, và click Next.
Nhập địa chỉ email của bạn ( Địa chỉ email này đã được bảo vệ từ spam bots, bạn cần kích hoạt Javascript để xem nó. ) trong 'Email address' field, và click Next.
For 'My incoming mail server is a ______ server', please select IMAP in the drop-down menu.
Enter 'imap.gmail.com' in the 'Incoming mail (POP3, IMAP or HTTP) server' field. Enter 'smtp.gmail.com' in the 'Outgoing mail (SMTP) server' field.
Click Next.
Enter your full email address (including '@dng.vn') in the 'Account name' field. Enter your password in the 'Password' field, and click Next.

Click Finish.
Highlight imap.gmail.com under Account, and click Properties.
Click the Advanced tab.
Under Outgoing Mail (SMTP), check the box next to 'This server requires a secure connection (SSL).'
Enter '465' in the 'Outgoing mail (SMTP)' field.
Under Incoming mail (IMAP), check the box next to 'This server requires a secure connection (SSL)'. The port will change to '993'.

Click the Servers tab, and check the box next to 'My server requires authentication.'

Click OK.
